At 6:30 am pick up and transfer from your hotel to Poroy Train Station. (Train leaves at 7:35 am)
The Vistadome deluxe train ride consists of spectacular views in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Inca farming terraces, snow capped mountains, and sub-tropical jungle near the low Jungle.
At 10:52 am, your guide will meet you at the train station, you will have a few minutes to get some lunch if you like and then a shuttle will take you from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu taking 30 minutes
At 12:00 pm you will enter Machu Picchu for the second session, and have a guided tour of 2 hours of Machu Picchu “The Old Sacred Mountain” and then you have some free time for taking photos, exploring the citadel
At any time with your guide, you can take the shuttle bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes)
At 6:10 pm, return by Vistadome Train to Ollantaytambo and then private van to Cusco. Arriving at your hotel in Cusco approximately at around 10 pm
Transfer from your hotel in Cusco at 6:30 am. Then, we go by our private transport to Poroy-Cusco Train Station, to take the train at 7:35 am.
In the rainy season, January through April, the Vistadome Train does not leave from Poroy. We pick you up at 4:45 am from your hotel in Cusco to transfer to the Ollantaytambo Train Station for the 7:05 am Vistadome Train. If you are staying in Ollantaytambo we will pick you up 6:40 am – 6:50 am.
Experience this 4 hour Vistadome deluxe train ride into this spectacular land of the Incas, with spectacular landscapes by traveling through the alpine meadows nestled amongst the green and white peaks, the intricately formed valleys, layers of handmade Inca farming terraces, ridged snow-capped mountains and see the change of ecological floors from the Andes to the sub-tropical jungle near the Amazon. See the Veronica snow capped mountain on the right side, and the famous Inca Trail trek starting point on the left side. From Ollantaytambo, the sacred Vilcanota River will be our companion until arrival at Aguas Calientes (2,040 mt.) well known as Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Our tour guide will meet you at the train station at 10:52 am and then, you will have just a few minutes to get a sandwich or snack before transported on the shuttle bus to Machu Picchu Citadel (2,400mt/7,874ft) for 25 minutes. (Bring your original passport), when you arrive at the main entrance of the Machu Picchu ruin. Our guide will take you to the best “viewpoint” to take the classic or panoramic photo of Machu Picchu and witness the views, following the ancient and remote steps of the Incas.
After the photo session, you will have 2-hour of guided tour of the architecture and history of Machu Picchu “The Old Sacred Mountain”. On your tour, your guide will show you all the most important places. You will see the Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Condor, Temple of Three Windows, Sun Dial, Quarry, the House of the Inca, the urban areas, agricultural terraces and many different types of architecture, and then you have some free time for photos.
It is recommended to use the bus ticket down to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Caliente) at least one hour before the train departs at 18:10 pm.
Returning to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), you will catch the early evening Vistadome Train 18:10 pm train to Poroy, and then private transport to Cusco arriving at your hotel in Cusco approximately by 10 pm.
